OnStarboard LLC ("We", "Us") respects the privacy of our users. We may collect and use personal information only as needed to deliver our products, services, and websites, and to communicate with you about the same, or as you have requested (collectively, our “Services”). Your personal information includes information such as:
- Name
- Company
- Address
Information may be collected from you when you make purchase or contact us for information or support. We strongly believe in both minimizing the data we collect and limiting its use and purpose to only that (1) for which we have been given permission, (2) as necessary to deliver the Services you purchase or interact with, product information, or support, or (3) as we might be required or permitted for legal compliance or other lawful purposes: We do not share or sell your information.
Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases. We do not save or store, any payment information. Payment data for API products is processed by Stripe and retained only in the Stripe platform.
The Mile 1 app does not collect any personal information whatsoever. Permissions for location, both in the background and while the app is active, are required in order to show real-time mile marker locations in our products. No location information is collected or stored by OnStarboard from the apps. Mile 1 requires background location for its core Android Auto Live Milepost feature or for Apple Live Activities. This feature continuously calculates and displays the user’s current roadway and real-time mile marker on the vehicle’s Android Auto or CarPlay display.
While Android Auto or Apple Live Activities are running, the Mile 1 phone app is not visible and it is operating in the background. Without background location access, Mile 1 cannot continue receiving the location updates needed to keep the mile marker current.
Location tracking begins when Android Auto or Apple Live Activities start and stop when they close. Location data is processed locally on the device and is not collected, stored, transmitted, shared, or used for advertising by OnStarboard.
No third party subscription services are used. Mile 1 subscriptions are processed by Apple and Google on their respective platforms.
